Retired Glass Worker Shoots Self In Hotel
Harry Bunion Hawks, 63, 1624 McClung St., committed suicide by shooting himself Saturday morning in a Summers Street hotel, Dr. Goff P. Lilly, Kanawha County coroner said.
Surviving are his wife, Nellie; four daughters, Mrs. Burres Fields and Mrs. George Utsinger, both of Charleston; Mrs. Jack Boyles of Belle and Mrs. Frances E. Burkes of Germany; two brothers, Charles A. of Big Chimney and Richard of Cheylan, and four grandchildren.
The body is at the Cunningham Funeral Home.
