Iowa Girl Is Bride Of Local Man
Sacred Heart Church in Spencer, Iowa, was the scene of the wedding Saturday morning at 10 o'clock of Miss Patricia Ann Juza, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. George E. Juza of Spencer, to James William Melluish, son of Mr. and Mrs. James K. Melluish of 195 Orchard Ave.
The Rev. Fr. Robert R. Joynt celebrated the Nuptial High Mass and officiated at the double ring ceremony.
Mr. Juza gave his daughter in marriage. She wore a gown of silk organza and chantilly lace over taffeta, with lace outlining the scoop neckline, and repeated in panels down the front of the skirt, which terminated in a chapel train. Her veil of imported illusion was held by a queen's crown of pearls and she carried 'a white orchid encircled by stephanotis.
Mrs. Daniel P. Donovan [Janet Marie Juza] of St. Paul, Minn., sister of the bride. was her matron of honor; Miss Carol Lohse of St. Paul was her bridesmaid; Veronica Juza, another sister of the bride, was the junior attendant and Mary Juza, young sister of the bride was the flowergirl.
Thomas McCormick of Grand Rapids, brother-in-law of the groom, attended as best man. Seating the guests were George E. Juza Jr., Thomas Juza and Michael Juza, brothers of the bride.
A reception was held in the church parlors following the ceremony, and later luncheon was served at The Village Inn in Spencer. Mr. and Mrs. Melluish, parents of the groom, entertained at the rehearsal dinner at The Village Inn.
Following a honeymoon trip the newlyweds will be at home after July 4 in Ypsilanti.
The bride was graduated from Spencer High School and is a student at Eastern Michigan University. The groom, a graduate of St. Philip High School, attended the College of St. Thomas at St. Paul, Minn., and is a senior at the University of Michigan Medical School. He is affiliated with Phi Chi fraternity, and Delta Epsilon Sigma scholastic fraternity.
