Adell was born on June 21, 1924, in Susanville, CA.
Her given name was Bertha Adell, but she always went by Adell.
She passed on Jan 11, 2009 at the age of 84.
Adell married Bob Chatfield on June 7th, 1943. Over the years Adell worked as a dental assistant, owned a Hallmark store in Red Bluff, and worked with Bob in their software business, Crest Software Corporation. Known for her sparkling eyes and warm smile, she was dearly loved by all and will be greatly missed. She was a truly kind person whose sense of humor was always uplifting to everyone and has left us with fond memories.
Adell was preceded in death by her husband Robert (Bob) CHATFIELD, mother Merle Waits, father Clyde Waits, and brother Bud Waits.
She is survived by sons Rob Chatfield (wife Nancy) of Pender Island, BC; Russ Chatfield of Redding, CA; Rick Chatfield (wife Mady) of San Mateo, CA; sister Frances Mae Sanford (husband Les) of Tucson, AZ; brother Donald E. Waits, DDS (wife Millicent) of Red Bluff, CA; brother-in-law Dan Chatfield (wife Myrna) of Reno, NV; granddaughter Nicole Chatfield and great-grandson Jaymeson Lloyd of Bellingham, WA; step-grandson Jason McCann (wife Sheri), step-great-granddaughter Amber and step-great-grandson Micah of Federal Way, WA; step-granddaughter Sheri Gibbons (husband Dave) and step-great-grandson Anthony of Pine Grove, CA; step-grandson Mike Walt and step-great-grandson Liam Walt of San Bruno, CA and step-great-granddaughter Caitlin Walt of Houston, TX; as well as many nieces, nephews, extended family members and beloved friends.
Services will also be at McDonald's Redding Chapel on Friday, Jan 16th, 2009, at 1:30 pm.
