He was born at Belle Prairie, Minn., June 29, 1857. His boyhood was spent in Buffalo, Elmira and Alfred. At Alfred University, during the presidency of his uncle, the late Jonathan Allen, he met and married Lillian Foster CHATFIELD, Dec. 26, 1880. By this union there survive two children, Elizsbeth F. McCray, at home, and Clarence W. McCray of Waverly. He also leaves a sister, Mrs. Ella Welsh of Newton, Kan.
Mr. McCray was for many years a contracting stone mason and mover of buildings, one of the best known and most capable In this section.
