Frankie Modene Daniel Thomas
Shreveport, LA - For ninety five years the sparkling blue eyes and ready smile of Frankie Modene Thomas has spread love over family and friends. She passed away on January 20, 2018, and we are comforted by the vision of her singing at the heavenly throne.
The Daniel girls grew up on a cotton farm in Texas; although the work was hard the love was big - especially on Sunday mornings when the girls, in starched dresses, climbed into the wagon with their sweet parents. They had many great memories of singing hymns as the old horses pulled them to church.
Frankie is preceded in death by her loving husband, Troy, and her five precious sisters. Left to treasure Frankie's memory are her daughter and son-in-law, Sandra Ann and Mark Chatfield (The Villages, Florida); two sons, Gary L. Thomas (Houston, Texas) and Kirk D. Thomas; three grandchildren; and five great-granddaughters.
Frankie Modene grew cotton in Millsap, TX, three children in Hobbs, NM, roses in Midland, TX, and friendships in Shreveport, LA. She will be remembered for her feisty and persevering spirit, her love of family and friends, and her unwavering faith in God and His Word. From our perspective, January 20th is the day she left us, but from her perspective that is the day she entered God's eternity. Imagine all she would tell us about her glorious new home while admonishing us to "follow in the steps of Jesus".
The family would like to acknowledge and thank Linda Ferguson, Precious Simone Johnson, and Tomikia Bates who have been appreciated, respected, and loved by all who have the privilege to witness their unselfish dedication. Additionally, we recognize the patience and expert compassionate care of Drrs. Alan Borne, Anil Chhabra, and Paul Schuler.
