Is it possible that the Robert Owen Hollis in your tree is the son of Julia Marie Robison - Hollis - Woodruff- Toler? He's in the right place, born at the right time. I have a cousin who might be his half-brothers grandaughter.
On the 1940 census Gerald Woodruff and his wife Julia have a son Robert listed, age 2. They did not get married though until March of 1940. Marriage record shows Julia's name as Hollis, but her parents were a Charles Robison and Myrtle Williams. It looks like she was married to a Hollis before she married Gerald.
I'm trying to help my cousin, (2nd cousin 1x removed actually), track down family. Her father passed away when she was 10 and she didn't really know any of his family. Any info would be appreciated. Jim Williamson
