Alva G. May died at the age of 80 at Akron City Hospital. He had been ill four year.
An Akron resident for 35 years before he retired in 1927 from B.F. Goodrich where he was a foreman. He was a member of the Gospel Crusaders.
Proceeded in death by wife Elizabeth Caroline Hennemann May and sons Ray and Orin.
Mr May leaves three daughters Mrs L.H. Jennings, Watkins Glen N.Y., Mrs Ralph Williams, Akron and Mrs. Clarence Kasburg, Akron..eight sons Monte, Elza, Alva, Chester, George, Loran, and Merrill all of Akron, Richard of Lake Wales Fla. Brother Charles of Cambridge, Ohio, two sisters Mrs. Edith Arbaugh of Cincinnati and Mrs Emma Willaims, Wellston, Ohio, 6 half brothers and 2 half sisters, 21 grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren..
