Mrs. Florence M. Thayer, 70, of East Lake Road, 444 Pastime Park, RD 3, Geneva, died Thursday. Mrs. Thayer was found slumped over the wheel of her car near her home. Seneca County Coroner Arthur Schroeder ruled yesterday her death was due to a heart ailment. Friends may call today from 7 to 9 p.m. and Sunday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. at the Genung Funeral Home, 46 W. Main St., Waterloo. The funeral will be at 2 p.m. Monday at the funeral home. The Rev. Jane Brown, assistant pastor of North Presbyterian Church, will officiate. Burial will be in Maple Grove Cemetery, Waterloo. Mrs. Thayer was the widow of Belmont Thayer, and daughter of Herbert and Luella Chadwick Van Ness. She was born in Waterloo and lived in this area all her life. She was a bookkeeper and was retired from the William L. Vogt and Sons Lumber Co. in Geneva, after 16 years employment. Surviving are one daughter, Mrs. George (Lois) Pettinger of Geneva, three grandchildren. Skip, Kathleen and Meghan Kincaid, all of Geneva; two nieces and one nephew."
