Mr Sedam was an equipment operator for the city of Moline, Ill., street department until he retired. He was a Navy veteran of World War II and was wounded in action on Guam.
He was born March 4, 1927, in Buffalo Prairie, Ill., the son of John V and V Elizabeth "Minnie" Duzenvery Sedam. He lived in Scranton before he moved to Osage City two months ago.
Mr Sedam was a member of the Disabled American Veterans and a Veterans if Foreign Wars Post in Moline, Ill.
He married Betty Manley in 1946. They divorced. He married Ann Allen in 1973. They divorced.
Mr Sedam was preceded in death by a daughter, Constance Marie Althof; a step-daughter, Karen Allen; and a grandson Greg Anthony Lovett.
Survivors include two daughters, Sandu Seastrom, Burlingame, and Kay Koranda, Sebring, Fla., two sons, Keith Sedam, Osage City, and Edwin Sedam, Carbondale; two stepsons, John Paul Allen, Spokane, Wash., and Jim Allen, Aledo, Ill; a stepdaughter, Cindy Allen, Aledo, Ill; three sisters, Lois Dean and Genieve Hageman, both of Rock Island, Ill., and Evelyn Brock Galva, Ill., 14 grandchildren; and 12 great-grandchildren.
