Brauer, Catherine E. 1/6/1921 - 9/19/2016 Grass Lake, Michigan Catherine E. Brauer, of Grass Lake, Michigan, age 95, passed away at her daughter's home on Monday, September 19, 2016. She was born on January 6, 1921, in Waterloo Twp., MI, the daughter of Homer and Lela (Green) Parks.
She had lived in the area all of her life. She enjoyed reading, doing crossword puzzles, baking, and all sorts of cooking, but her family was her first priority.
On February 14, 1942, she married Leslie Brauer in Waterloo Twp. and he preceded her in death in 2004. Surviving are three children: Leslie (Kathy) Brauer II of Munith, David (Karen) Brauer of Jones, and Lisa (Bill) Wulkan of Grass Lake; eight grandchildren: Gail (Mike) Hawkins, Tia (David) Wysocki, Christine (Bryon) Linfield, Andrew (Kendal) Brauer, Catherine (Matt) Gerring, Daniel (Amy) Brauer, Carrie (Travis) Van Heukelum, and Anna Wulkan; six great-grandchildren; two sisters, Helen Lake of Florida and Mary Rettig of Chelsea; and two sisters-in-law, Mary Parks and Gen Parks, both of Grass Lake. She was preceded in death by her daughter Susan CHATFIELD, son Rod Brauer, four brothers: Robert, Donald, John, and Richard Parks, and three sisters: Sal Murray, Mildred Lantis, and Dorothy Walbrook.
A Memorial Service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, October 1, 2016, at the Caskey-Mitchell Funeral Home, Stockbridge, with Rev. Robert Castle officiating. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 10:00 a.m. until the time of service.
